POZIOM 1 - beginner
Kiteboarding for beginners is the first level of kitesurfing course. It’s a great introduction to kitesurfing knowledge. During this 5-hour course, which usually lasts around 1-2 windy days, you will learn key aspects of kitesurfing theory, safety, and the set up of equipment. We go straight in the water during the first day and teach you how to control your kite by doing ‘body drags’. Bodydragging is when you lay on your stomach on the surface of the water, and allow for the kite to pull you in whichever direction you want. Loads of fun guaranteed!
During the course you will learn:
- Basic safety regulations
- How to control a small kite on the beach
- How a kite is built and how to prepare it for the water
- Controlling your kite on the edge of the wind window
- Body dragging
- When and how to use safety systems

POZIOM 2 - intermediate
After learning how to control your kite and swimming by the bodydragging technique, our students are ready to learn how to start swimming on their boards. During these 5 hours you will learn what to do if you loose your board out in the water, how to launch your kite with an assist, and how to bodydrag with your board. The second level PZKITE course will lead you up to the ability to water start with your board and have a short ride. During this part of the course we use the BBTALKIN technology, so you’ll be connected to your instructor by wireless intercom at all times.During the course you will learn:
- How to launch your kite with an assist
- Bodydragging with the board
- Water starting with your board and riding a short distance
- Riding in both directions on the waters surface
- Emergency landing and collection of kite on the water

POZIOM 3 - advanced
The third level of the Kitesurfing course consists of mastering the art of swimming on your board. During these 5 hours you will learn how to properly move your body on the board and fly high with the wind. Finally, you won’t need swim against the wind. During this part of the course, we also use the BBTALKIN wireless intercom system to assure you constant contact with your instructor- even if you swim several meters away!During the course you will learn:
- Gaining and keeping height with the wind
- Correct body position on your board
- Riding upwind- coming back to where you started

All levels of the kitesurf courses at Kite Zone Kitesurf School, were created based on the training program issued by the Polish Kiteboarding Association. One of the authors of this program is the founder of Kite Zone Kitesurfing School- Igor Czernik. To be fully effective, courses are held in maximum groups of 2. All standard courses use the BB TALKIN technology, which is a wireless intercom system allowing for easy communication between the instructor and student. Learn more about our Kitesurfing School.
KITESURF COURSES FOR ALL LEVELS
Each level of the kitesurf course teaches different aspects of the art of surfing with the wind. If you’re beginning your adventure with kitesurfing, the KITE STARTER package is for you. It’s 10 hours of individual or group lessons. You’ll learn how to control the kite and try out your first drags with the board. If you need help deciding which package is right for you, contact our office and we will help you out based on your abilities and length of stay at the Hel Peninsula.
All of our courses include insurance, instructor’s assistance and all equipment required. We guarantee that you don’t have to worry about having anything prepared, we do it all for you. All you need is a bathing suit, towel, and loads of positive energy!
